….celebrating fauna….
to compliment our prior theme of flora!
We’ve got some wonderful plans in the works for the 2020 event…members Alice & Marty Feldman have graciously agreed to host an open house on Sunday, May 31st at their home in nearby Armonk, Westchester – just down the road from the hotel. Alice has a fabulous collection of pottery… in a wide range of patterns… I’m eager to see all the blues she’s told me she has in her kitchen and all of her grotesques, too!
We have a lovely and comfortable hotel secured. It has a restaurant on property and is just 13 miles from the White Plains Airport. All NYC airports are an option, as is Danbury, CT.
Hopefully very soon members will be receiving their registration pack for our forthcoming convention.
Lots of exciting things will be happening starting with an ‘Open House’ at Judy & Ernies. Such a treat
to see the wide variety of pots that form Judy’s collection. Not too mention the beautiful location. Please
drop us a line if you are interested to know more. New members welcome.
Wishing all our members a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year – Brenda Kimber
Saw this photo on Instagram posted by our fellow collector Jen. In the next edition of the Collector I am asking for members to send me photos of their collections that show how they display. Always good to see and we gain ideas along the way. Also they can give us ideas of what we might collect in the future. This one is themed for Christmas so perfect for the coming season.

We had our Sandbach meeting on the 21st October and we welcomed Kathy Collins Carol Johnson and Chris Fessler. They were a valued part of our team and could be seen making sandwiches before the meeting started. It was well attended and members brought lots of pottery for our display, which this year was ‘People of Pots’.
This coming Sunday is the A.G.M. of TPCS held at the Livermead Hotel. Starts at 10.15, and looks like it is going to be a fun packed day. Lots of stall holders, interesting talk by Brian Lounds Pateman of Babbacombe pottery. Mysteries session so bring any of your mystery pots. It is a members only event but you can join on the day. There is a very interesting auction with some rare examples. Hotel serves food and drinks and its a good opportunity to meet fellow collectors and learn more about the work of the committee on behalf of the members.
